Saturday 5/8/21 – Desire

God, You are so good. Thank You Lord, praise You Lord, bless You Lord. Thank You for taking me on a trip down memory lane and showing me that You have placed desires in my heart. The desires I have had in the past were for worldly wealth and possessions but You still used those desires, as wrong as they may have been, to put a desire in my heart to do more and get better so that I could be on the path to achieve “my” desires. What You’ve shown me now is that the desires You placed in me, help me to get where You want to take me next. I’m starting to understand, I’m starting to be more open to Your plans Lord, Your will, not mine. Thank You for everything You have revealed to me so far and I feel like The Carpenters, “we’ve only just begun.” God, You are so amazing, Your ways are not our ways. We can not even begin to comprehend You, God. However, I was reading a book last night by Francis Chan that hit me hard: Know that even as you seek to understand the Spirit more, He is so much more and bigger than you will ever be able to grasp. This is not an excuse to stop seeking to know Him, but don’t limit Him to what you can learn about Him. (Forgotten God; Chan 65) Wow! Not sure if it hit you like it hit me but let it work on you a bit, chew on it, see what the Holy Spirit tells you. -A humble warrior in God’s army

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” -Philippians 2:13 NLT

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen -The Lords prayer

Thank You Lord, praise You Lord, bless You Lord Jesus. Thank You for all the blessings you have given us and continue to bless us with. Please help me to be a good steward of all that you’ve provided in my life. Thank You for the desires that you have given me Lord, including this desire to journal on a public platform. Let my story, as it becomes known to me and others be a blessing to someone else or many others Lord. Thank You for coming alongside me and giving me the words to share. Amen.
