Monday 3/21/2022 – The Flood

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for this day. Thank You for all of the blessings that You’ve provided for us in our life. You’ve always provided for us, exactly what we’ve needed. Often You have provide more than we’ve needed but never less than the essentials. I thank You for helping me exercise my generosity muscle early in my adult life. I thank You for my pastor in MI, Trent Walker, that encouraged the entire congregation to test You that You would fulfill Your promises to us, if we’d only trust You. “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke 16:10 ESV) Thank You Lord that You helped me to be faithful in little and so that You would know that You could trust me with more. I ask that You continue to help me to be faithful with what I’ve been given at this time in my life, in all areas of my life; financially, spiritually and the relationships that I have in my life. I ask that You remove my fear of man and use me as a vessel to spread Your Truth, Your Word to those that are being held captive without their knowledge. Most of us seem to have been lured in by the lies and a promise of living the “good life,” a life that is self-serving and comes to us without the acknowledgment of how our choices affect others in our life. Some choose to dwell in this place and others are not aware that there is another way to live. I pray that You put me in the path of those that have not been made aware of another way to live, that I would be able to build relationships with them and that I may be able to reveal Your Truth to them. Lord, I ask all these things in Your precious, mighty and holy Name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I’m sure everyone has heard a version of Noah’s ark and the flood, whether it be a Biblical account or not. The Biblical version ends with the rainbow, a sign given to us, a visual reminder that God will never send a flood to destroy the entire earth again. However, I feel like another flood is imminent. I’m not speaking of a physical flood but rather of a spiritual flood, a flood of Truth that is coming, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks to God sending His Holy Spirit, I don’t believe there will be just one family that survives this flood due to the promises in the Bible that the Spirit of God can live in each and everyone of us that will receive Him. I believe there will be many “Noah’s.” Those who choose to receive His Holy Spirit and build a relationship their Creator may look a lot like Noah did to his neighbors in his day. Noah was preparing for something that no one else knew about and I would expect there were even times where Noah was questioning the preparation wondering if and when something was going to actually happen. Noah’s preparation was based on his trust and faith in God that what He said would happen would come to pass. What does all of this mean? Think of Plato’s “Cave,” the wizard from The Wizard of Oz, The Matrix, The Truman Show, and so many more that I could share but hopefully with these examples you’ll start to get the picture. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about or you think that all of those examples are fiction and theories and you’re not sure why I’m sharing them in this post, it may be time to do your own research and educate yourself on what really happened in our history, not just the things I was taught in school. I am not claiming to know what it is that you’ve been taught or what you’ve learned in your journey. I can only share the things that I’ve learned, the information I’ve been led to along my journey and what I believe is being revealed to me. To continue with the analogy of the flood, the ark that we are being called to build is built through increasing our knowledge of His Word. By increasing our knowledge of His Word it should help us to become less of who we think we are, who we’ve been told we are by others and to be formed to look more like Christ. I need to practice resting in His power and giving Him all of my cares and worries. I need to do what only I can do and give the rest to Him and watch what He does with it. I believe that we, as the human race, are “waking up” to the Truth and how most America’s past goals of complacency and comfort has allowed to slide into the world that we see today. There are good people out there, turn off the news and go meet some of them. Allow the Spirit of God to work through you, to work on you, to remove the plank from your eye first so that you can help your brother or sister remove the speck from their eye. I believe there is a revival on the horizon, the likes that we’ve never seen before and as the Bible says, “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” (Matthew 9:37) Pray that the laborers will step up and accept their position and role in the Kingdom of God to spread His Word, His Truth far and wide. I hope you will join us in this journey of seeking Truth, that you will help build your ark and lead others to the Truth so that they have the opportunity to build theirs. Not one person knows how much time we have, not even the Son but only the Father knows. I want to make sure that I’m making the most of the time I have. “To whom much is given, much will be required…” (Luke 12:48) And we’ve been given so much, more than most of us know. -A fellow warrior in God’s army

“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” -Matthew 10:26-28 ESV

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, our Word time with You. And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptations and deliver us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. -The Lord’s prayer (paraphrased)

I'm learning how to follow after Jesus and what that looks like. I believe that I have the ultimate teacher leading me through this journey.
