Thursday 4/29/21 – God, You Are So good!

Good morning. I’ve been doing a devotion the last several days on the “You version” of the Bible app. Psalm 24:1, I feel like I’m being told that this verse is important. The 1st time I heard it, it was the verse of the day to help me memorize some more scriptures for my arsenal. However, I believe we’re onto day #7 and the verse of the day has been the same verse day in and day out. I feel like God is speaking to me, telling me He has this, it is all Him. I can try to be disobedient like I did this morning, I thought I needed to get up earlier, to get to work earlier as my work is piling up and I’m feeling overwhelmed. I set my alarm for 4:10 am, without consulting with God and asking Him for guidance like I had the night before. The night before, I had the most peaceful sleep and woke up so easily and felt refreshed. This morning, all 3 alarms went off at 4:10 am, and I couldn’t get up, couldn’t even get myself to reach for my Yeti of ice water. Guess what, my eyes opened up and said, time to get up… I look at the clock and it says 5:10 am. 5:10 am, the very time I was told to wake up the night before when I did consult with God as to what time to wake up. God was letting me know, He is in control. I can try to be disobedient but after I know God’s will and how to hear from Him and then don’t ask Him for help, He is still there, still in control. Everything from the night before to last night was almost exactly the same except I tried to do it my way, tried to get up earlier, to get to work earlier. I do not feel as rested this morning and as crazy as this may sound, my ice water was full of ice yet on Wednesday morning. Thursday morning, I had cold water but all the ice was gone. I believe these are all ways that God is saying, Bradley… I wan’t you to consult me for My wisdom, My knowledge, My discernment, My leadership, My guidance, My direction about EVERYTHING in your life. I can make your life so much better than you can on your own. Sometimes it takes me several times to learn a lesson like this, I pray that I learn this lesson quickly and that it is seared in me to remind me to ask God what His will is, what my next step is to fulfill His will, not my own. Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation AND deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.
