Dear Lord, thank You for today. Thank You for all of the blessings You have provided for me and my family. Thank You for my family, thank You for leading, guiding and directing us. Thank You for Your love Lord, for loving me regardless of how broken I have felt. Thank You for teaching me how to love myself so that I have the ability to love others as myself. Without Your love for me Lord, without the example You provided to us in Jesus, loving our neighbor while it seems difficult at times would feel impossible. Thank You Lord, for the people You have placed in my path; the pastors, my mentors, missionaries and the authors of the books I read and those who have led me to some of those books, thank You. Thank You for leading me to the idea that You still speak to Your people today and thank You that my family and I are learning how to hear from You Lord. I ask that You lead, guide and direct my thoughts and that everything I share in this post today be glorifying to You. In Your mighty, holy and precious Name, Amen.
Starting about 1 year ago I started attending a class called School of the Prophets. The class was advertised on an alternative media channel that I casually followed, the website is http://www.andweknow.com. I enjoyed and still do enjoy this media source as it explains to the best of his ability what is going on beyond the veils that the mainstream media has in place to keep us in fear, doubt and worry. I attended the class the first time through a series of weird events that seemed too coincidental to not check out and had no idea what to expect. It was different than anything I could have prepared for, it is a class that teaches how to receive personal prophecy rather than the corporate type of prophecy I was aware of from the prophets in the Bible. It is currently a smaller class where there is plenty of opportunity to engage with the teacher who has been a missionary overseas for 50+ years, not associated with any church so he relies on the miracles that God provides to him for living a life completely submitted to God and sharing the Gospel. My wife started attending with me. My wife attended as a skeptic at first to make sure her husband wasn’t being led astray. After a few classes she was able to see that while the classes are deep and thought provoking that they are backed up by scripture. My wife is also learning that through deep communion with God and His Word, where you live with the goal of putting God first in all that you do, not just warming a seat in the church on Sunday (which was something I used to be really good at) that we can connect to God and His direction and His will for our life. My daughters now attend the very beginning of the class before they go to bed and my 11 year old is grasping the concepts that are shared and while she had some profound revelations before she started attending, that continues to grow as she is learning that God still speaks to His people and that if we can quiet our mind from the things of this world, we can hear what He has to share with us. My 11 year old daughter asked that I would share some of the revelations she’s been given over the last several nights; “God is like a magnet, pulling us in to Him.” “God is like glue, sticking us together.” “When the devil whispers in your ear, put on spiritual headphones and play God’s voice.” “Don’t give the devil power, don’t give up!” She also wrote a poem “You borrow my sorrow, You take my pain away, so thank You Jesus for taking my cross every day.” “The devil brings a hammer to our pipes full of Jesus, he drains and pulls the plug of Jesus. The next time you pray to Jesus, think about calling the plumber to fix the pipes or turning on the faucet and plug the drain so the Jesus water does not leave us.” And one of my favorites so far “some people are swimming in satan’s pool, full of lies but instead plunge into the pool of Heaven but before you enter, shower off so you do not bring in sin, bathe in the truth.” I think she is grasping the concept but maybe this is normal and all 11 year olds think this way. I know that I didn’t but I also realize that I’m not “normal’ whatever that means. I do believe that we are raising another soldier for God’s army and that while her life isn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows, she will know where to go and how to connect with the Spirit of Truth to get the answers she will need to properly prepare and protect herself to not only defend the truth but to engage and fight the battle. I hope you’ll join the army and fight the battle as well! -A fellow warrior in God’s army
Scripture verse today, inspired by a verse placed within my daughter’s heart. “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'” -Mark 16:15 ESV
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen. -The Lord’s prayer
